Birthday boys & girls get these keen gifts!: - Hand pick your teammates from the roster (of course you need to have any specific friends you want to also sign up). **DISCLAIMER: we are limited to 8 Birthday team "captains" for our 8 total teams - First 8 to come in, first 8 to get those coveted spots. This also obviously follows for your birthday teammates. Meaning, we cannot boot free agent organic players from the roster for birthday friends once the roster hits full at 32 players, because that'd just be some shady d-baggery on our part, right? The FNF FORMAT - more games for all teams We're tweaked the FNF format awhile back to create a more collective camaraderie on a casual Friday night where everyone gets a healthy share of play. NOW WITH FIVE POOL PLAY GAMES (used to be 3), and a single elimination finale Same 6 hours of play, but with almost everyone in it right to the end SIX games guaranteed for 16 players 7 games guaranteed for 8 players 8 games guaranteed for the 8 players who make the final Pool play games played to 21 / cap 23 Playoff games to 25 - no cap $30 per player PRIZES 1st place wins free tourney vouchers worth $30 each 2nd place wins a choice of: $10 cash or $20 in bar credits Welcoming all players B minor level and Up You must: - Understand the full rules of clean play - Have some organized volleyball experience - Be able to control the ball consistently - Be mobile: able to move efficiently and get to the ball well (i.e. - you aren't limited to passing balls that land in your lap.) - Have the endurance to play 6-8 games for 6 hours straight - Deep sand in the play area, lovingly maintained - Clean and even coverage LED lighting - Ball catch netting all around perimeter with 16 house balls spread around (never have to go chase balls) - Righteous vibes, groovy music, good times. - Full bar just steps away with draft beers, mixed drinks, bottled beer and beer and Long Drink or White Claw buckets at excellent prices. - Court side seating all around at bar and Adirondack chairs on the sand - You are always free to order Grub Hub/Door Dash delivery to the volleyball courts. - Coolers with NON-alcoholic drinks are always A-OK at Elks Island - Doggies on leash with good boy owners also most welcome Join our Funk family, volley brother or sister! |

NEW for 2022: Tokens & the Honeypot
Each time you play an FNF in 2022, you earn two Funk Casino tokens, just for playing. The Red one is worth $5. The Blue one is worth $10. These go into your personal Honeypot. They accumulate, we keep track for you. When you win first or second place, your Honeypot tokens pay out. If you've collected 5 Blue tokens by playing 5 FNFs and you win 1st, that's a $50 cash payout you win. That's PLUS the regular prize. And you don't lose your tokens earned, when your Pot pays out. Your built sum stays intact, just keeps growing, waiting for the next time in 2022 you win 1st or 2nd. So play some Funk and get some Honey in that Pot. |
