Shorty Leprechaun Shenanigans
- SHORT NETS!
The nets are lowered a full 8" to 7'4" - for fantasy fun shorty action.
ALL HEIGHT PLAYERS MAY PLAY
*A Leprechaun is a player under 6 foot tall.
They are the only players who may HIT & BLOCK on the short nets.
- 16-24 players are designated as Leprechaun hitters.
- 8-16 players are setters or back row players.
- These players can be ANY height (over OR under 6 foot)

The Banzai format is a Shamrock shake!
PHASE I - Banzai pool play
You'll play on 3 different teams with 9 different teammates for pool play
- 2 games with your first team
- 2 games with your second team
- 2 games with your third team
6 pool play games total - all to 18/cap 21
PHASE 2 - a simple single elim playoff
Players are seeded by their pool play win/loss record for a final team
8 teams play it out in 3 rounds - games to 21/no cap
7 games minimum guaranteed (8 or 9 possible)
$30 per player

LEVEL OF PLAY - Welcoming all players C level and Up
You should:
- Understand the full rules of clean play for intermediate ball or be open to learning what you do not know yet.
*(Please just ask for clarification if you need it - we can bring you up to speed!)
- Have a little organized volleyball experience
- Be able to control the ball consistently
- Be mobile - able to move efficiently and get to the ball well
- Have the endurance to play 6-8 games for 6 hours
Funk Beach Scottsdale features
- Deep sand in the play area, lovingly maintained by Yoshi the Sandboni
- Clean and even coverage LED lighting
- Ball catch netting all around perimeter with 12 house balls spread around
(we never have to go chase balls down)
- Righteous vibes, groovy music, good times
- Full bar just steps away with draft & bottle beers, mixed drinks, and Dos XX, and Long Drink buckets at excellent prices
- Courtside seating all around at bar and lots of chairs on the sand
- Coolers with NON-alcoholic drinks are always A-OK at Elks Island
