- Nets are lowered 8 inches to women's height - Females ONLY may hit and block - Teams will have at least 2 females - Boys set and play defense - Men can hit from behind the 15 foot line, no blocking of females Prizes 1st placers win a $35 free tourney voucher OR a sexy Funk shirt! |
Welcoming all players C level and Up
You must:
- Understand the full rules of clean sand play (*how to handle the ball CLEAN by intermediate sand rules)
- Have some organized volleyball experience
- Be able to control the ball consistently
- Be mobile and able to move well enough to get to balls (i.e. - you aren't limited to passing balls that land in your lap.)
- Have the endurance to play 6-8 games for 6 hours straight
- Deep sand in the play area, lovingly maintained
- Clean and even coverage LED lighting
- Ball catch netting all around our perimeter with 16 house balls available (we never have to go chase balls)
- Righteous vibes, groovy music, good times
- Full bar just steps away with draft beers, mixed drinks, bottled beer and beer and Long Drink buckets at excellent prices
- Seating all around at the courtside bar and Adirondack chairs on the sand
- Kitchen is open Friday nights or you can always BYOFood, Grub Hub, Door Dash, as you wish.
- Coolers with your NON-alcoholic beverages are always A-OK at Elks Island
- Doggies on leash with good boy/girl owners are also most welcome
