Smurf Smashing - What?
- SHORT NETS for shorty players!
The nets are lowered a full 8" to 7'4" - for fantasy fun shorty action!


**A Smurf is a player under 6 foot tall**
- Smurfy Players under 6 foot tall = Hitters (Smashers)
These are the players who may HIT & BLOCK, on the short nets.


*A Gargamel is a player of ANY height*
- Players over 6 foot tall MAY PLAY!
They are setters or back row players.
*These players can be ANY height (can be over OR under 6 foot)

Banzai format draw (multiple teammates - see the format details below)

6:00 pm check in / 6:30 pm first game
Your evening wraps up between 10:30pm - 12:00am,
depending on how far your team goes in the playoffs

PHASE I - Banzai pool play
You'll play on 3 different teams with 9 different teammates for pool play
- 2 games with your first team

- 2 games with your second team
- 2 games with your third team

6 pool play games total - all to 18/cap 20


PHASE 2 -  a simple single elim playoff
Players are seeded by their pool play win/loss record for a final team
Games to 25/no cap

7 games minimum guaranteed (8 or 9 possible)


$35 per player
​LEVEL OF PLAY - Welcoming all players C level and Up
You should:
- Understand the full rules of clean play for intermediate ball or be open to learning what you do not know yet.
*(Please just ask for clarification if you need it - we can bring you up to speed!)

- Have a little organized volleyball experience
- Be able to control the ball consistently

- Be mobile - able to move efficiently and get to the ball well
- Have the endurance to play 6-8 games for 6 hours

- Ball catch netting all around perimeter with 12-14 house balls spread around
(Never have to go chase balls down)

- Courtside seating all around at bar and lots of chairs on the sand

- Coolers with NON-alcoholic drinks are always A-OK at Elks Island
