Fun Is Number One
It's a festive FUN KAHUNA level day of trademark Funkalicious good vibrations and camaraderie; maybe catch a buzz and win a prize, too! REC and C level event explained Teams may be 4, 5 or 6 players - Teams of 4 = 1 female minimum - Teams of 5 or 6 = 2 females minimum FOR SAFETY - No net contact - at all. Touch the net = point for the other team. - No contact with opponents under the net (goal is to control your body) FOR FAIRNESS - No throwing/pushing/directing with fingers the ball down for a point - No attacking the serve (blocking/spiking the serve back) - Teams are required to rotate all players each time a new server is up on their team *SPIKING? = DEPENDS Our goal is that all recreational players feel comfortable at these. Dealing with an aggressive spike is a bit of an advanced skill. We'd prefer these to just be about getting the ball back over the net. SO > we ask teams who can spike to ONLY do so against teams who also can spike well. Other than that, we pretty much leave you to the fun. We do not call lifts, carries, double contacts or throws to teammates or up and over. |
Team names: something Irish!
