Texas can bite my ass - we're losing The Lodders to that place
I am sad - are you?
Yea...so let's turn our grief for one night into one final terrific time with them, OK?
You with me?
Please join us for an epic barefoot sendoff
for our dear friends Cory and Michelle.
If you're in, it's because you were hand selected by Michelle for the exclusive invitation.
If you didn't get an invite, please don't be offended - she literally had over 50 people she handed me and I made her cut it to 32. She didn't want to.
This will be a P-A-R-T-Y with volleyball as the excuse and the central activity.
Be prepared for a quirky format with a couple random surprises.
Please plan to Uber or Lyft home quite possibly and to be here as late as 2:00 am.
My goal is 1:00 am - but I am not going to be strict about shenanigans and delays.

6:15 check in / 6:45 pm first games start
Finals may or may not wrap up around 1:00 am - this could go very late - be prepared.
The Format:
A Banzai style draw format is being Mad Scientisted together especially for this tourney, that will give Michelle & Cory one game with every single one of you party guests. That's 15 games for them. They could die.
The format also gives 18 of the other players 9 pool play games and 12 players get 8 games.
If I lost you there, just hear this - it's a shitload of games, and you're not going to get better or more focused by game 9.
So...games will be to 14/cap at 14.
9 games to 14 is the equivalent of 6 full games to 21.
The 18 rounds will go fast (I do need to build in a game off for Cory/Michelle every 4 games, in rounds 5, 10, 15), and you will also be quite tired by pool play's end.
My plan is to hold single elimination playoffs after pool play, with teams formed by your amassed records.
We'll see how functional our crew of pirates are after 9 games.
All games are half straight coed, half reverse coed - we switch modes at 7 pts when sides are switched.
Net will be set at one "Coed height" (not raised & lowered) - for efficiency sake.
$35 per player
Stop whining, cheapskate - here's what your player fee gets you:
- Exclusive participation in a very special event only you are invited to (Yea!)
- We are essentially paying for the food for everyone - anything off of Tim's grill menu will be just $1.
Do tip him, please.
- One free Dos XX or Long Drink for everyone on us, too.
- A monster, killer tourney with a smorgasbord of games.
- Unicorn insignia Cowboy hats for all. Holy shit, that's worth the price of admission right there.
- Cake, cookies, raw dough or some form of bad carbs will certainly be available - it's a farewell party.
- Prizes for the champs.
Hands Fly Free for this event - no hand sets called, chowder slingers
