Fun Is Number One
It's a sweet day full of trademark Funkalicious good vibrations and volley camaraderie; maybe catch a buzz and win a prize, too.
We relax the rules,  but here is a full breakdown of them all:

C/Rec/B level tourney RULES
- Teams can be 4, 5 or 6 players
  - Teams of 4 or 5 need at least 1 female
  - Teams of 6 need 2 females

FOR SAFETY
- No net contact - at all.
Touching, brushing, backing into the net = stop play and point for the opponent.
- No contact with opponents under the net - at all.
*We need players to control their bodies, to keep sand volleyball a non contact sport and protect everyone's safety.

For a more chill, fun vibe
We relax a couple ball handling rules
   - We will not call hand sets that stay on your net side
   - Open hand serve receives are OK
   - We will not call double contact/spinning balls for defense and passing that stay       on your net side

RULES (here's what we do call)
- No throwing/pushing the ball for a point
- No attacking the serve (spiking/blocking the serve back)
- No lifts or carries
- No throws or sticky finger pushes over the net
- No double contact/spinning slapped at balls over the net (including sets)
- 3 ball touches per side play

Rotation of team players on the serve is just fine, but not required.
Each player on the team must take a turn serving, in order and throughout the game.

Please do call the score out or shout "SERVICE!" before each serve, so that your opponent realizes the serve is coming.

FORMAT
- Seven pool play games (to 15 points/ cap 17)
- Double elimination bracket playoffs (games to 18/ cap 21)
​- 9-13 games total guaranteed for all
- Max of 10 teams taken
- $140 a team
- Free Agents are welcome to try to form a team ($35 a player)
*Success at forming this of course depends on getting at least 4 free agents
